The period from the second half of November until the end of December 1982, during which one of the largest peaks of solar activity in the 21st cycle was observed, is described. It is shown that the solar activity peak led to an increased activity in geophysical phenomena that was manifest not only in increased number and intensity of magnetospheric perturbations but also, to a certain degree, in their characteristic features.
