Forbush Effect: Cosmic Rays, Forbush Effect: Solar Wind
Scientific paper
The variation of the exponent of the rigidity spectrum of galactic cosmic rays inside high-velocity streams of the solar wind is discussed. It is shown that the exponent of the spectrum as the Earth is immersed in a high-velocity stream reaches its minimum at the time of maximum velocity, and then a smooth recovery of the value of the exponent γ to a value characteristic of undisturbed conditions occurs.
