Meteor-satellite observations of the spatial distribution and dynamics of the penetration regions of auroral electrons are examined. It is shown that, in quiet conditions in the nighttime sector, discrete precipitations predominate in the central region (Lambda-prime = 65-69 deg). In the daytime sector, the frequency of appearance of diffuse and discrete spectra is practically independent of latitude. During magnetic disturbances, the daytime region is almost wholly filled by diffuse precipitations.
