Chaotic motion of comets in nearly parabolic orbits is predicted. A physical implication of chaotic motion is interpreted as the existence of a cometary cloud surrounding the solar system. The formation of the cometary cloud is due to a strong resonance effect between the period of Jupiter and the motion of the comets. The dynamical structure of the cloud is described.
