Scientific paper

Mechanisms for unsteady hydrodynamic flows of plasma in the solar atmosphere are discussed. Attention is given to the role of magnetic field reconnection and mass accumulation in the current sheet region. The formation of dense regions in the peaks of loops is considered; matter is found to flow out of these dense regions with initial acceleration under the effect of magnetic forces.
