The pattern of solar-rotation-related variations of the intensity of galactic cosmic rays (GCRs) and of various modulating factors is evaluated on the basis of Deep River neutron-monitor data for 1958-1981 in an effort to clarify the cause of GCR variations with a period of 26-30 days. Variations with periods of about 27 and 29 days were observed during 1958-1968, while only variations with a period of 28.3 days were observed during 1971-1979. An analysis of different solar-activity indexes and polarity during these time periods did not yield analogous results.
