Several peculiarities of T Tau were discovered on the basis of spectral
observations carried out during 1977-1979. These pecularities included a
flare in the emission lines of hydrogen, and H and K Ca II; and
quasi-periodic variations of the equivalent widths of these lines with a
characteristic time of 28-30 d.
