The embedding of celestial spheres in N, the space of null geodesics of a strongly causal space-time, M is studied, with particular attention to the contact form on N. The algebraic topology of the embedding is also considered. Light cone cuts with (partial) Cauchy surfaces are examined, by regarding N (or appropriate submanifolds of it) as a bundle over S and projecting down. Finally, a means of reconstructing the original space-time (up to a conformal factor in the metric) from the cuts of light cones with a Cauchy surface is given.
