Migdal et al. suggested that supernova explosions occur in the collapse of stars initiated by the phase transitions of superdense matter. In order to check their suggestion we investigate this problem in detail by numerical simulations and obtain the following results: In the case of strong phase transitions, i.e. large density gap, supernova explosions are weakened contrary to their suggestions, while in the case of weak phase transotions explosions are strengthened. However, the increment of the ejected energy is about 20% at most. This implies that the difficulty of explosion in current theories of supernovae cannot be solved by phase transitions.
