A slitless low resolution infrared spectrometer and a chopped far-infrared photometer will be focal plane instruments in the liquid helium cooled telescope of the infrared astronomical satellite IRAS. A description of the compact test set-up simulating the low background and signal levels for these instruments and the calibration results are given.
