A technique is given for calibrating a Dicke radiometer without using
external noise sources. Precalibrated natural noise in the reference
channel of the radiometer is used for calibration. The system allows for
an almost unlimited number of absolute levels, and the calibration scale
can be maximally adapted to the dynamic range of the signal.
