This is a continuation request for GO 6047/GO 6566. The study utilizes HST-FGS and infrared speckle imaging to calibrate the mass-luminosity relation {MLR} for stars less massive than 0.2 Msun, with special emphasis on objects near the stellar/brown dwarf border. We examine subarcsecond binary systems in order to determine the masses, luminosities, and colors of objects at the lower end of the main sequence, including several objects with M < 0.1 Msun. The payoff of this proposal is high because all 8 of the systems selected have already been be resolved with HST during Cycle 5, and contain many of the reddest objects for which masses can be determined. In addition to contributing to fundamental research on very low mass stars and brown dwarfs, an accurate MLR can be broadly utilized in the fields of spectroscopic, astrometric and cataclysmic binary research, stellar cluster work, planetary searches, and studies of the galactic and ``missing'' mass.
