Resolved solar H I Ly-alpha and -beta profiles have been recorded by the French LPSP experiment on OSO 8. Intensity observations at the center and the limb have been combined to obtain flux-equivalent profiles (5.46 plus or minus 30 percent and 0.078 plus or minus 25 percent erg/sq cm per sec for Ly-alpha and -beta, respectively). Comparison of the flux profiles with unresolved calibration rocket profiles allows one to obtain an absolute calibration.
