The average atmospheric transmission factor was calculated for Bahrain by using two methods. One of them is derived from using actual (measured) global radiation results i.e. Sambo's model and the other derived from using the actual direct radiation (i.e., Chauliaguet's model). The average atmospheric transmittance was found to be (0.48 ± 0.28) in using the former method and (0.76 ± 0.0007) in the latter one. The relation between the atmospheric transmittance and some meteorological parameters is discussed and studied.
