Analytical formulas are obtained for determining the real and imaginary parts of the natural frequencies of the ionospheric Alfven resonator (IAR), which are then used to construct a numerical solution by the method of wave admittances. A Green function for the IAR is constructed for the case when the source is located in an anisotropic plasma. Representations are obtained for electric and magnetic fields excited in the resonator at different ionospheric heights and in the earth-ionosphere cavity.
