Scientific paper

Different approximations of dispersion calculations for grating-type
spectral devices are analyzed. The effect of reflecting square base
change in a double-pass monochromator system with a scanning square is
examined. Analytic solutions for the square base change effect and for
the effective dispersion are obtained.
