EUV radiation from the entire solar disk was measured in the 15.5-103.76-nm range by the AEROS EUV spectrometer from December 1972 through August 1973. The EUV flux data are used in conjunction with a model of the E and F regions to calculate the variation of ionospheric parameters which are associated with changes in the measured EUV flux. The model calculates variations in electron and ion density, electron and ion temperature, photoelectron spectra, various airglow emission rates, and the minor neutral constituents N(2D), N(4S) and NO. Results show that in general the magnitude of all ionospheric and atmospheric parameters increases with increasing solar EUV flux.
