The shape of the geomagnetic hollow is calculated for a corpuscular flux corresponding to the edge of a unidirectional stream of charged particles which partially surrounds the earth. The solar stream, only partially incident on the earth, gives rise to geomagnetic hollows different in shape from the usual. Their equatorial cross section is considered.
