We have detected buried AGN, powerful AGN-like radio objects in galaxies with a star-forming SED, in ATLAS. The occurrence of star-forming galaxies hosting giant, double-lobed radio jets is novel and bizarre with only two known examples in the local universe. There seem to be about 50 in the ATLAS sample. Thus if, as we believe, these buried AGN are real, then they may be important keys to understanding AGN evolution. We propose to produce high-resolution images of examples of buried AGN in the CDFS field (a) to check that these sources are not victim to chance alignment, (b) to establish whether they are indeed AGN, (c) to see whether they differ from the more familiar AGN in the local Universe which are nearly always hosted by ellipticals.
