In this paper, the coefficient of bulk viscosity during the GUT phase transition is derived. Its effects on cosmological inflation, density fluctuations, and entropy production are also investigated. We identify conditions for which bulk viscosity can become an inflationary source as well as generate an inflation. An appropriate fluctuation spectrum caused by bulk viscosity for galaxy formation is obtained. Also, the entropy production by bulk viscosity is calculated and the result provides us a possible resolution to the entropy generation problem.
