Methane: Laboratory Spectra, Methane: Infrared Spectra

Scientific paper

The methane absorption spectra have been obtained behind a shock wave (temperature 1370 K), at 293 K by a devised non-linear infrared (i.r.) spectrograph. The spectra calculated on the basis of HITRAN92 data accord with experimental ones. The possibility of temperature determination of a methane containing mixture on absorption spectra shape is discussed.
