Gravity In More Than Four Dimensions, Kaluza-Klein Theory, Unified Field Theories, Alternative Theories Of Gravity

It is shown that the nonvanishing torsion obtained in Brans-Dicke-type
models with torsion may be transformed away by an (extended) conformal
transformation. The possible application of this symmetry for the
construction of microscopic theories of gravity is mentioned.
