Numerical estimates are obtained for the following effects of minicomet bombardment: fragmentation of cometary nuclei and asteroids, surface erosion of the Moon and asteroids, ejection of rock and dust from the surfaces of the Moon, Mars, and asteroids into space, capture of rock and dust from the surfaces of atmosphereless bodies and of aerosols from the atmospheres of planets and satellites by the snow nuclei of minicomets. It is shown that minicomet bombardment explains satisfactorily the observed frequencies of division of cometary nuclei and the ejection of meteorite-forming bodies from the surfaces of the Moon and Mars. A continuous model distribution proposed for the masses of shortperiod comets in the interval from tens to billions of tons is consistent with comet and minicomet observations.
