A sample of faint blue stars has been observed. Out of 126 stars with A-star type spectra 106 were found to be potential blue horizontal branch field (bhbf) stars. These bhbf stars are located in the galactic halo out to 34 kpc galactocentric distance. Radial velocities of the 106 stars plus 28 local bhbf stars situated near to the galactic poles have been determined.
