A simple two-turning-point phase-integral formula, valid in an arbitrary order of approximation, for the determination of the normal-mode frequencies of a Schwarzschild black hole is derived rigorously. Numerical results obtained from this formula show that the phase-integral method in general yields the normal-mode frequencies more accurately than previous approximate analytical treatments.
