We examine the gravitational wave emission process of a black hole in decelerated motion. The deceleration of the black hole is realized by nonlinear gravitational perturbations in the realm of Robinson-Trautmann geometries. In the nonlinear regime of General Relativity a radiative transfer process is set up through which the black hole loses kinetic energy and part of its rest mass by the emission of gravitational waves. The angular pattern of the radiation emitted is typical of bremsstrahlung. The process has an initial dominant pulse corresponding to a burst with a high power output.
