Observing the co-evolution of AGN and their hosts is crucial to understand the similar cosmic evolution of the space density of luminous AGN and of the star formation rate density. We have addressed this issue selecting a sample of 150 Type-2 QSOs from the XMM-COSMOS survey (Lx>1044 erg s-1 and NH>1022 cm-2) after performing a detailed X-ray spectral analysis. We derived stellar masses and SFR estimates for the host galaxies from the best fit of the observed photometry with a grid of models made from a combination of AGN and galaxies templates. We found that the fraction of galaxies hosting Type-2 QSOs monotonically increases with stellar masses and the measured SFR are consistent with what expected from the tight correlation between SFR and stellar mass found for blue star-forming galaxies (e.g. Noeske et al. 2007). We will compare our results with similar analysis performed for lower luminosity AGN and discuss these new observations in the frame of possible fueling mechanisms (major mergers and secular evolution).
