BL Lac objects consist of the majority of extragalactic sources of Very High Emission (VHE; defined as E > 100 GeV) emission. VHE emission from Flat Spectrum Radio Quasars, pose interesting questions on the emission process in these sources. Quasars are bright optical sources, where the inner jet region is expected to have strong low-frequency photon fields, due emission from the accretion disk as well as the broad line regions. Previous observations and claims of detection of quasars in VHE have been published. Detection of VHE emission from these objects, especially from high z sources, implies either a very bright intrinsic (before internal absorption and external intergalactic Extragalactic Background Light (EBL) absorption) VHE luminosity, or a very low photon density at optical-UV frequencies at the source. We report on the HESS observations of quasars.
