It is shown that the observational consequences of the Kochen-Specker theorem and Bell's theorem follow from restrictions on system-observer information transfer defined within classical automata theory together with reasonable physical assumptions. Contextuality and non-separability are, therefore, expected to characterize all observations in both classical and quantum physics.
