UBV observations of the Short period, solar-type binary, BE Cep (GSC 3996 75, Florija 1950, discovery paper), are presented here. The UBV observations were taken with the Lowell 0.79m reflecting telescope on July 25-27, 29-30 (RGS and DRF), and September 11-13, and 17 (DRF), 1998. BE Cep has unambiguous EB light curves, with complicating asymmetries which indicate Roche-lobe overflow. Six mean epochs of minimum light: 2451021.8301(2) calculated by TWS and SDA, 2451022.8970(5) by BCP, 2451069.7933(2) by SDA, 2451070.8534(4) by BCP, 2451074.6724 by NWG, and 2451074.8855(2) by TWS, were determined. A precision linear ephemeris was calculated, using the available 21 timings of minimum light, J.D. Hel Min I = 2445647.3099 (37)d + 0.42439409(28) X E. Simultaneous, UBV synthetic light curve analyses are reported. This research was partially supported by a grant from NASA administered by the American Astronomical Society.
