Magnetic field and plasma data from Helios 1 and 2 are used to study the
solar wind MHD turbulence near 0.3 AU. The power spectra corresponding
to Elsaesser variables are calculated to identify the wave modes that
elucidate the physical picture of the turbulence. The possible
mechanisms responsible for the observed spectra are discussed.
