We calculate the baryon excess of the universe within a recently proposed preon model possessing the desirable features of family replication and interfamily mass hierarchy. The quantum numbers B, L, C and CP are violated spontaneously through preonic condensates at the preon binding scale ΛM ~ 1014 - 1015 GeV. The baryon-to-entropy ratio nB/s is found to have a value of the order to 10-11 +/- 3, if the effective couplings of the composites have strengths typical of strong interactions.
