We consider a grand unified model for baryon-number generation, and consider the addition of collapsing cosmic string loops to the theory. The Boltzmann equations for baryons and GUT particles are derived, and analysed numerically. We find that the addition of the cosmic string source term enhances the resulting baryon asymmetry and, in the case of a low freeze-out temperature, is the dominant effect.
