Outflow from Juventae Chasma ponded on Lunae Planum. After drainage of
the lake, ground water seepage carved Bahram Vallis. Preliminary
modeling of ground water discharge and headward erosion indicates that
the valley was active for 5,000 to 50,000 terrestrial years.
