We investigate the third quantization of baby universes in theories with space-time dimension greater than two. The mechanism for the vanishing of the cosmological constant extends to these theories. Naively, having the low-energy space-time dimension as large as possible seems to be selected by the baby universe ground state. Suggestions are made on how this result may be avoided. Further arguments are given that complex topologies are also favored.
I would like to thank Jonathan Halliwell, Vipul Periwal and Andy Strominger for useful conversations.
