This paper describes an automatic method of two-dimensional stellar classification from photographically determined magnitudes using the seven-color Vilnius photometric system (Straizys, 1973 and 1977). The magnitudes were determined from Schmidt plates measured by the COSMOS measuring machine and calibrated by Vilnius-system photoelectric standards.
