The Space Remote Operation Center has applied operational automation in data collection and data processing for EUROMIR 95 and SOHO missions. The main reason is that telescience has to be customer oriented with all technical details transparent to the users. Automation is essential for the future use of the international space station where the control of the scientific payloads will be automated.
