The auto-correlation functions of the amplitude of first, second and third order echoes of fading radio signals reflected from the ionosphere have been measured experimentally. It is confirmed that when the signal amplitudes have a Bayleigh distribution over tune the auto-correlation function of the nth order echo is equal to the nth power of the auto correlation function of the first order echo.
