In the frame of nonlineary theory a mechanism of strong electrostatic shocks formation in turbulent inhomogeneous auroral plasma is developed. It has been shown that: 1) a closure of auroral magnetospheric field-aligned currents by Pedersen currents at inhomogeneous boundaries of current sheets in turbulent plasma leads to the strong electrostatic shocks formation; 2) a contribution of the electrostatic shocks themselves to the process of the field-aligned currents closure is an order of values of Pedersen and diamagnetic currents.
