Calculations are presented of the auroral emission of the line at 1084 A of ionized atomic nitrogen that arises from electron-impact-induced simultaneous ionization and dissociation of molecular nitrogen. For an aurora of IBC Class II(+), 330 R of 1084-A emission is predicted. Estimates are also presented of the intensities of the argon lines at 1048 and 1067 A.
