We propose to use the Mopra telescope to detect the J = 1 - 0 lines of 12CO, 13CO, C18O and CN toward 403 line of sights (LOSs) distributed throughout the Galactic disk. These LOSs are part of extensive surveys of [C II] by the Herschel Space Observatory (Open Time Key Project) and of [C I] by Nanten2/SOFIA/CSO. These observations will provide a large statistical database of the physical properties of denser molecular gas component that can be compared to those of the diffuse atomic/molecular gas and PDRs. This database will include a few thousand clouds within b =+/-1 degree in the disk, outer galactic warp clouds, and a sample of well-studied HI absorption clouds towards bright radio sources.
