Atmospheric extinction coefficients were calculated for the UBV and phi photometric systems in order to study the effect of extinction on the bandwidth measurements of the photometer instrument of the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory. The photometer consists of a photomultiplier with an antimony-cesium photocathode which serves as a receiver within the airmass interval 1-4. Energy distribution curves were calculated for stellar spectra from a variety of spectral and luminosity classes, and the results are given in a table. Spectral curves of the low, mean, and high transparency of the terrestrial atmosphere at five different observational sites around the world were used as initial data.
