The effects of changes in atmospheric parameters on the meson intensity recorded by two semi-cubical telescopes located at an equivalent depth of 60 m of water below ground have been investigated by the method of correlation analysis. The cosmic ray intensity showed significant correlations with sea-level pressure and the upper air temperature (in the range 200-70 mb) but the negative temperature effect due to [mu]-e decay was too small to lead to significant correlation. The weighted average values of the two regression coefficients were as follows: "Total" Barometer Coefficient: -0·037 ± 0·002%/mb (-0·495 ± 0·026%/cmHg) Positive Temperature Coefficient: +0·041 ± 0·006%/°C These results are discussed in relation to earlier measurements and theoretical estimates.
