The asymptotic behaviour of the characteristic A and a functions has
been studied in semiclassical Stark-broadening theory for ionized
emitters (attractive hyperbolic paths). The approximate expressions for
ξ ≫ 1 and δ = ξ(ɛ-1) =
Ο(ξɛ)1/3 are presented.
