Delayed nature associated with the quantum tunnelling effect was found
for non-resonant break-up of 0954-3899/24/8/044/img17 through the Gamow
energy region. This delayed nature is discussed in the astrophysical
context of the Coulomb dissociation method; post Coulomb acceleration
and its effect on the energy dependence of the cross sections.
