Photoelectric observations of the asteroid 126 Velleda were carried out during 1990 opposition. The rotation period P = 5.364 +/- 0.003 h and lightcurve amplitude 0.22 mag were determined. The magnitude-phase relation is obtained in the range 0.14-23.8 deg, inclusive (H = 9.28 mag, G = 0.29). The comparative analysis of the opposition effects of Velleda and other S-type asteroids was made.
