Projected velocities have been measured for several structures observed from widely spaced stations in monochromatic images of the corona at the west limb during the total eclipse of July 31, 1981. In the 5303 Fe XIV forbidden line, arches and knots in coronal condensations were rising at 10 km/sec; in the 6374 Fe X forbidden line, two arcs were ascending at 11-25 km/sec. Each of these features was visible in only one of the two emission lines and was absent from the white corona, suggesting that the radiation of the moving structures is attributable to an enhancement of temperature rather than of electron density.
