Radiative Transfer: Scattering
Scientific paper
An approximate form for the H-function for isotropic scattering developed by Karanjai and Sen has been extended to anisotropic scattering with a characteristic function of the form ψ(μ) = w1 + w2μ2 + w3μ4. The method is applicable to w(1 + x cos θ), Rayleigh's phase function, 1 + w1P1(cos θ) + w2P2(cos θ), and similar phase functions.
