The effect of random initial conditions on results of calculations of the secular perturbations of the orbital elements of meteoroid showers is analyzed on the basis of the numerical simulation of the ejection of fragments from the surface of the parent body of the Geminids and Comet Halley. It is shown that, from the orbital elements distorted by random measurement errors, the method of secular perturbations does not successfully determine the initial structure, origin, or evolution of showers.
