Two dimensional coherent, magneto-hydrostatic structures are described by the Grad-Shafronov (GS) equation. Based on this property, the GS method allows reconstruction of two-dimensional coherent structures moving past one or more spacecraft. Previous work by Hasegawa et al. (2004, 2005) has shown that the Cluster multiple spacecraft observations can be used to validate the GS reconstructed 2D structure of the magnetopause and FTE's. Here we present further examples of magnetopause crossings reconstructed using the GS technique. Methods for the determination of the correct axis orientation of the reconstructed magnetopause are discussed. We explore possible techniques for the further validation of the magnetopause structures recovered from the GS method.
